Elon Musk’s tweet daring Vladimir Putin to a “single combat” war over Ukraine drew a response from the head of Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos.

Elon Musk, the billionaire who has been tweeting his support for the war-torn Ukraine, got engaged in a verbal spat with a top Russian official after challenging Russian President Vladimir Putin to a fight over the fate of Ukraine.

“I hereby issue a single battle challenge to Vladimir Putin. Ukraine is at risk “Elon Musk had sent out a tweet.

“Do you accept this fight?” he added in Russian, addressing the 69-year-old president’s official English-language Twitter account.

Dmitry Rogozin, the director general of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, retweeted words from Alexander Pushkin’s poem “The Tale of the Priest and His Workman Balda” in response to his popular tweet.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who has over 77 million followers on Twitter, did not stop there. He responded to the Russian official on Twitter with a meme, one of his favourite forms of communication. On the left side of the image, a shirtless Putin is riding a bear as Musk holds a flame.
